In the Spirit of the Mountain Worship Church, we hold as sacred the freedom of movement for all conscious beings. This is not merely a political belief, but a spiritual remembering: that long before the walls of empires and the stamps of paperwork, humans were wanderers of earth and sky, bonded to the breath of the land and the cycles of life.
We reject the branding of the displaced with names meant to diminish: illegals, aliens, undocumented. These are not the names of the divine. They are shadows cast by systems that have forgotten their obligation to serve life.
We affirm:
- That the Earth was not divided by the Divine, but by fear, scarcity, and control. No mountain knows a border. No ocean honors a checkpoint.
- That migration is not a crime but a birthright. Movement, whether chosen or forced, is part of the sacred dance of existence.
- That nations, if they wish to honor life, must strive for openness—not walls. As the 50 states of the United States allow movement freely among them, and as the nations of the European Union have already committed to the ideal of free movement across their borders, so too must all the world work toward that same light.
We call on communities, large and small:
- To welcome the traveler, the refugee, the seeker, and the wanderer.
- To honor the courage of those who move and the hope of those who stay.
- To build circles, not fences. To offer hearth, not suspicion. To see first the spirit, not the passport.
This is not a denial of law or order—it is a higher law. A remembering that our truest belonging is to each other.
Let this be our teaching: No one is illegal on a planet they were born to. Movement is sacred. Welcome is holy. Borders may mark the land, but not the worth of a soul.
