Letting Your Inner World Be Wild and Worthy
Stillness opens the door. What we find inside can surprise us. Old memories. Grief. Joy. Restlessness. A sudden burst of insight.
It’s tempting to judge what we feel — to sort our thoughts into “good” and “bad,” to try fixing ourselves before we even understand what we’re seeing.
But at Spirit of the Mountain Worship Church, we don’t see your mind or heart as a broken system to be repaired. We see it as a living wilderness — untamed, real, worthy of respect. You are not a project. You are a presence.
When you sit in stillness, you’re not there to control the forest. You are there to listen. The wind in the branches. The movement in the underbrush. The stillness under it all. Some days it rains. Some days it clears. Neither is wrong.
Let your consciousness be what it is. You do not have to name, tame, or change it. You can simply witness — and trust that witnessing is enough.
Invitation
Set aside a quiet moment each day. Not to improve yourself — but to be with yourself.
When a thought arises, notice it.
When a feeling stirs, let it pass through.
When silence returns, rest there.
You are not a puzzle to solve. You are a wilderness to walk with.
