How the Lucent Cycle is counted
Year 0 begins on December 21, 2024, the calendar’s winter-solstice anchor. Each year has thirteen months of 28 days, followed by LucentRise. Years divisible by four—including Year 0—add The Long Awakening between months six and seven. These sacred days stand outside the seven-day week.
The fixed four-year cycle follows the published calendar’s starting point; it is not recalculated from the astronomical solstice each year. Observances are invitations to reflection, not scheduled gathering times.
